InstaVolt to open 12-charger hub off M4 in Swindon

InstaVolt has opened its new rapid EV charging site, located just off the M4 at junction 16, one of the UK’s busiest motorways.
Lydiard Fields, Swindon has 12 new bays, each capable of delivering up to 160kW, ensuring drivers can quickly top up their vehicles before continuing their journey. Located within easy reach of popular amenities such as Costa Coffee, Greggs, Subway, and nearby Hilton and Premier Inn hotels, drivers will have access to a variety of options to refresh, relax, work, or grab a bite to eat while their vehicle charges.
A significant feature of this new charging site is its commitment to accessibility. Six fully accessible bays on site have been designed to fully meet PAS1899 specifications, ensuring they are accessible to drivers needing improved access. This marks a major step in making electric vehicle charging more inclusive, allowing all drivers to benefit from the rapid charging network.
